The Ministry of Education (MOE) is inviting students, who are Singapore Citizens, to register for the Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (ESIS) Test.  Students who were awarded a 4-year or 6-year ESIS at Secondary 1 need not re-apply. 

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take the ESIS test, which is scheduled for Saturday, 4 March 2023, test venue and time to be confirmed.  A fee of $20 is payable in early February 2023 if you are shortlisted to take the test.

Interested students are to submit the online application form by 29 January 2023.

We will not be able to accept any late applications.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Be Singapore Citizen;

• Is not an existing ESIS awardee; and

• Have good conduct

To provide convenience to our students, the ICA mobile team will be visiting our school on 30 January 2023 (Monday).  

Please note the contents of the attached letter regarding NRIC registration.  

• Parents are required to register their children's NRIC online at by 26 Jan 2023 -- verify child's particulars, upload child's photograph and make payment.

• The biometric enrolment for the child will be done in school on 30 Jan 2023.

• Students need to bring along their Student SmartCard (EzLink card) for identification. 

• Students who are absent on 30 Jan, or whose parents did not complete the online registration by 26 Jan, will have to go to ICA for the biometric enrolment.

A photo-taking session for Y3 students has been organised in school on 16 Jan 2023.

• If you wish to use the passport-size photo that you will be taking in school on 16 Jan, you may download a digital copy of your photo from the student portal on 20 Jan [student.sji.edu.sg].

• Alternative, you may choose to use another passport-size photo of your choice.
